Tulane University researchers are launching a study abroad and teaching program that is expected to enroll more than 1,000 students.
The Tulane Study Abroad (TSA) program, a partnership between Tulane and the University of Southern California, will begin this fall.
The university says more than 5,000 TAs enrolled through the program during the fall semester.
The program will begin in September and last two years.
Tulane says it will help boost international students’ research experience and expand opportunities for Tulane students to participate in international programs and events.
The university says the program will give students the opportunity to visit countries that they are most passionate about, as well as learn about the lives of those living in those countries.
TAs will have access to the resources and facilities of Tulane, such as classrooms, labs and facilities.
The University of Texas at Austin has also announced that it will expand the program by enrolling more than 2,000 international students and faculty this fall and winter.
