Georgetown, United States (CNN) A study overseas study abroad (SOEs) program is launching at Georgetown, a Washington, D.C. university, according to the Georgetown University blog.
The Georgetown SOEs are open to Georgetown students who wish to study abroad.
They are expected to last up to four years and allow students to travel to study or live in the United States for two years, according the Georgetown SOE site.
Georgetown SOES are open from June through August.
The SOEs have been successful in other cities in the US and abroad, including Boston, Toronto, New York, Seoul, Tokyo and Beijing.
The Georgetown SOA program is the first of its kind in the nation, and is part of the university’s initiative to expand the number of international students.
In 2019, Georgetown SOAs will be expanded to the entire university.
Georgetown University has hosted more than 20,000 international students from more than 200 countries.
The university’s SOEs will serve as an opportunity to study, work and live in Georgetown.
The program will be open to students from 18 to 30 years of age, according Georgetown SOO website.
The first SOE opened in the city of Georgetown, which is located in the Southeast corner of the United State, in 2015.
Georgetown’s SOE will focus on studying abroad, working in Washington and DC, and developing and expanding Georgetown’s global reputation.
A Georgetown SOa is expected to be the first in the country.
The students are expected in the spring of 2020 to complete their studies.
